The Delta State Government has approved the appointment of His Royal Majesty, Emmanuel Okumagba as the Orusuen of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom in Warri South Local Government Area of the state.

 

State Commissioner for Information, Charles Aniagwu, disclosed this on Tuesday at the end of Delta State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

 

Orusuen Emmanuel Okumagba ll, had earlier been crowned by kingmakers of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom, Warri. His emergence as the Orusuen (king) of the kingdom brings to end, the over one-year interregnum in the traditional stool.

 

He succeeds the late Orusuen, HRM Prof. Paul Oghenero Okumagba, Idama II, who was a professor of sociology at Delta State University, Abraka.

 

Orusuen Emmanuel Okumagba II was a member of the Governor Okowa’s Delta Advisory and Peace Building Council.
