Ex-Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and the Director General of Delta APC 2023 Governorship Campaign Organization, Elder Godsday Orubebe has said that the All Progressives Congress and its gubernatorial candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, are on a mission to rescue Delta State from bad governance.

Elder Orubebe made the statement at the Delta North APC meeting where the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Mr. Friday Osanebi was officially unveiled to the party heavyweights. He revealed that some PDP stalwarts in the state were working for the victory of the APC governorship candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.

He urged APC members in the State to band together by putting the past behind them and working toward a common goal to secure success for the Omo-Agege/Osanebi ticket in 2023. He said, he has interacted with some PDP heavyweights who have expressed interest in joining the APC.

Elder Orubebe said that immediately he joined the party, he met with aggrieved APC officials, and encouraged them to put the past behind.

A former Delta State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon Victor Ochei, who unveiled the deputy governorship candidate, said Mr. Osanebi is a political asset who has developed into a big plus for the party. He described Hon. Osanebi as “young, tenacious, trusted and ready to deliver on action”, adding that the ruling PDP is regretting letting the former deputy speaker leave the party.

Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi urged party members to work for APC’s victory, stating that his arrival would strengthen the party and the governorship ticket.

According to Chief Adizue, chairman of the party in Delta North, all aggrieved leaders have been completely reconciled in the Senatorial District.

He encouraged party members to continue building on the newly found harmony and expressed optimism that the 2023 election will provide the finest chance to unseat the PDP in Delta State.
