An itinerant scrap vendor, popularly known as “Iron Damage”, has been caught stealing air conditioning unit in Ughoton, Delta State.
The criminal, who is believed to be of northern extraction, was caught red handed in the act.
It was gathered that when he was arrested and interrogated by the resident in the area, he could not utter a word.
He was subsequently handed over to the police in Ughoton.
Commenting on the incident, a resident of the area simply identified as Martin, urged the general public to be wary of those who move from place to place in “the name of buying scrap materials as many are thieves masquerading as scrap dealers”.
