Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, Chairman, Conference of Speakers, State Legislatures, Nigeria; has praised Nigerian women for their resilience and contributions to global peace on International Women’s Day. He acknowledged their efforts in promoting peace, stability, and development in Nigeria and worldwide.
Guwor emphasized the importance of women’s roles in shaping the nation’s future and assured them of the Conference’s support for policies promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment.
He described this year’s theme, “Rights, Justice, Action, For All Women and Girls”, as apt, focusing on accountability, justice, and women’s rights.
Rt Hon Guwor also urged women to continue pushing boundaries and breaking barriers, acknowledging the challenges that still exist.
He reaffirmed commitment to creating a more just and equitable society.
