
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has listed the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale on its admission portal, an affirmation that university has been fully approved by Federal Government of Nigeria and ready for academic activities.
The development has sparked jubilation across Ndokwa Land which have been denied tertiary institutions since independence, despite its immense contributions to Nigeria economy.
The enlisting of the University on JAMB portal marks a historic moment and a dream come true for the Ndokwa Nation and officially opens the door for admission and academic activities to commence in ernest.
This is not just good news for Ndokwa Nation by a harbinger of better things to come in the region, said Ignatius Odili, a frontline Ndokwa leader.
Another opinion leader in Ndokwa, Chief Collins Enudi, who spoke exclusively to Realtime.ng expressed gratitude to all those who fought to locate the University in Ndokwa Land, especially Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege, a former Deputy Senate President for his doggedness and the will to ensure that one of highest revenue generating regions in the Nigeria is not let of the dividends of democracy.
He also thanked the Governor of Delta State Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for graciously acceding to approval of the site in Kwale and the Presidential approval respectively.
