Pastor Daniel Abodunrin was a Nigerian Pastor who was mauled by a lion while trying to replicate a popular Bible story: ‘Daniel in the lions’ den’.
He wanted to prove that the God of Daniel was his God, besides, he also answered the name ‘Daniel’!
On the fateful day, wearing his red priestly attire, he made his way to the zoological garden of University of Ibadan, in Nigeria.
He managed to get into the lions’ enclosure.
The lions initially backed off when they sighted him, but like the Daniel in the Bible, he needed to get close to them. He was instantly mauled to death as he took steps close to the lions.
Even the Bible commands us; “Do not tempt the lord your God”.
