Author and social media icon, Reno Omokri has faulted priests who dwell on preaching prosperity and longevity, urging people to “follow the proof” instead

He wrote via his X handle:

“Japan, a prosperous nation that has 15% of the world’s centenarians, with over 95,000 people above 100 years old, proves that religion is not the source of prosperity and longevity. Therefore, stop listening to all these merchants who market Godliness as a means of financial growth and extended lifespan. Follow the proof, not the spoof, and the data instead of their chatter.

Japan is neither a Jewish, Christian, nor an Islamic nation. Over 80% of Japanese are Shintoists.

They don’t believe in One God and have idols at home. Yet, their culture is built on hard work and honesty, and their theft rate is the lowest in the G7. More importantly, they have one of the world’s highest per capita incomes and the world’s highest longevity rate.

God has blessed Japan, not because of their religion or region. In fact, their region has one of the least mineral resources of any country on Earth. The reason they are blessed is because of their lifestyles, specifically how they relate to each other, and what they eat.

The cornerstone of the Japanese way of life is respect for elders. Their diet avoids red meat, while their national zeitgeist revolves around impeccable honesty.

Any religion whose end result is financial prosperity or the hating of those who are not part of their faith is actually a belief that needs to look at Japan and learn from them.”
