At a time, when about 78% of candidates who sat for the 2025 UTME scored less than 200 of the 400 maximum marks; Sotu Oma, 16, has engraved her name among the very few who scored between 340 and 356. Her score of 344; Eng. – 72%, Eco – 86%, Math – 98%, Phy – 88%, puts her at the very top of the 0.63% that scored 300 marks and above.
The spectacular performance is not a fluke as she has been an outstanding student from primary to secondary school, and consistently maintained top positions.
The 16-year-old-candidate, from Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, has set her sight at top notch universities where she intends to study computer science.
