Samuel Eto’o, President of Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT), recently had an emotional reunion with a former teammate who is now a security guard in Douala, Cameroon.

Eto’o, who was in the town for an Ecobank Group lecture, ran into the old football teammate.

The two former teammates had a heart to heart talk, reminiscing about their previous experiences in the pitch.

Eto’o was noticeably moved by the experience and directed his assistant to set up a formal appointment with the old teammate to further reconnect.

Eto’o, one of Africa’s greatest footballers, had an illustrious career, winning four African Player of the Year titles and playing for prestigious European clubs such as Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Chelsea.

He secured a historic treble with Inter Milan in 2010 and won the Champions League with Barcelona.

Since retiring in 2019, Eto’o has remained influential in the world of football, and in December 2021, he was elected President of FECAFOOT, continuing his dedication to advancing the sport in Cameroon.
