Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga has reacted after report of court ruling disqualifying the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Senator Monday Okpebholo surfaced online.
His reaction was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Friday.
In the post shared by Onanuga on his X page, he said the report is fake and the handiwork of mischief makers.
Onanuga stated that the Magistrate Court that purportedly issued the fake ruling has issued a disclaimer stating categorically that it did not emanate from that court.
He wrote:
“In the final hours to the Edo State Gubernatorial Election scheduled to be held tomorrow Saturday, September 21, 2024, certain political parties have desperately resorted to forgery, disinformation and blackmail by circulating a fake magistrate court ruling purportedly disqualifying Senator Monday Okpebholo, the APC Gubernatorial Candidate in the election”.
