Social media influencer, Reno Omokri has demystified who we call friends and designate as contacts.
He wrote on X:
“What is a friend? Someone who is unconditionally for you. What is a contact? Someone you can call in times of need. Once you understand the true meaning of these terms, you will stop being deceived by Facebook and WhatsApp.
You don’t have 500 friends. In life, you will have maybe one or two friends. And you don’t have 1000 contacts. You have 998 phone numbers and one or two contacts.
Do you doubt me? If you need emergency healthcare today, how many of your ‘friends’ and ‘contacts’ can you call, and they will bail you out? How many would contribute something meaningful to the cost of your treatment? Capisce?
