Senator Shehu Sani has called for action against state governments over the extra N30bn doled out by the federal government through inland revenue to state governments to fight hunger and soaring cost of living in the country.
Apparently, Send. Sani was not satisfied with the rather muteness by the states over the windfall and their inability to take steps toward addressing the hunger crisis in the country.
He wrote via X:
“Senate President Akpabio revealed that every state Governor was given N30Billion.No Governor is yet to dispute that claim. That sum is adequate to solve the problem of hunger in your state.Call out your state Government and hold them accountable as you do to the FG….N30Billion is NOT 3k.”
