The embattled governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are meeting in Abuja.

Fubara and Wike are currently attending the meeting of the police council which is usually attended by the 36 state governors in Nigeria and the FCT minister.

Wike and Fubara shook hands before the commencement of the meeting at the presidential villa in Abuja despite a rumoured rift between them.

Fubara on Monday, meanwhile, insisted that he had not done anything wrong for him to be impeached by the Rivers state House of Assembly on Monday.

The governor, who said any unjustified action against him will be resisted, insisted that he had done nothing wrong to warrant plots of impeachment by the state lawmakers.

  1. When two elephants fight, how suffers it? Its to be the grass. This is the issue with the Rivers state now. Her State House of Assembly is now built down,at the economic retardation of the Rivers State people, who are going to suffer as to raise budgets for rehabilitation and or repairs or building another edifice in the state. When would these types of political hullabaloos stops? The nuisance are at work!
