A one-year memorial has been held for late Pa Oduah Phillip Egwu of Ejeme Aniogor, Aniocha South Local Government Area Delta State, who transited to eternal glory on 18th October, 2021 at the age of 105 years. He was laid to rest on 2nd April, 2022.

The remembrance ceremony saw a large turnout of dignitaries, family members, friends and well-wishers; including members of NGS Class of ’81 who came all out to support their outstanding and supportive Group Media Administrator/Coordinator USA, Frank Egwu.

A Church service was held at MFM Church, Ejeme Aniogor in honour of the centenarian whose impactful life permeated the entire Ejeme community and beyond.

Late Pa Egwu was a confidant of Obi Odigadawu of Ejeme who bestowed on, the prestigious title of “Anawo Obi”.

He lived a very impactful life and was a benefactor to many, an attribute assimilated by his children.

The quintessential centenarian will always be remembered in Ejeme Kingdom for his forthrightness, humility, hard work and love of humanity.

Two of his sons, Frank Egwu and Paul Egwu are leaders of Nsukwa Grammar School Alumni.

For two consecutive nights, Frank Egwu regaled members of the community and those of NGS Class of ’81 to lavish dinner and entertainment.
