A man, popularly known as Jeye in Ughoton community, but hails from Omadino, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, has been arrested by Ughoton vigilante for vandalizing transformer.
He was apprehended at 3:06 am, June 20, while allegedly stealing transformer cable installed at Odisi Junction, immediately after the secondary school in Ughoton.
According to an eye witness, Jeye was trailed due to information gathered by the community Vice chairman, Mr Saturday Ojogwa, who immediately swung into action by setting up the community vigilante to monitor the area.
The effort paid off as Jeye was caught vandalizing a transformer and had successfully detached the transformer cable when he was caught.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and handed over to the police at Ughoton Police Station for further investigation.
