I honestly don’t think some people have enough attention span to understand the consequences of their actions. The BBC did a documentary by Gemma Atwal, where they even featured my book, and one of the revelations in that film was that the activities of Oby Ezekwesili’s #BringBackOurGirls weaponised the #ChibokGirls saga for the APC, and was the single most important causative factor (in their opinion) for President Jonathan’s loss.
The then APC Chairman even boasted that #BBOG was “founded by members of our party” (a direct quote).
Eight years later, one of the personalities involved in that saga is blaming the PDP and Jonathan for what happened in 2015? Why would these people not let former President Jonathan be?
And in 2022 (not even 2023), I publicly, in my ThisDay column, warned Peter Obi that the person who lured him from the Labour Party is my friend, and was my mentor. I told Peter that that fellow and Tinubu are 5 and 6. And that the only reason I could not publicly or privately mention his name is because he has been VERY good to me and it will be wrong to bite the finger that once showed me kindness.
But I felt the patriotic responsibility to warn Nigerians that Peter was being used.
That day, Obidients insulted the living daylights out of me and my lineage.
Then today, they are now blaming the PDP for Tinubu’s rigged victory? Real maturity is when you can take responsibility for your actions. Obi was used to divide the PDP’s vote and get Tinubu elected. Even Peter Obi knows it now. But it is too late.
Peter Obi never had a pathway to the Presidency. It was never going to happen for him. Even his own Governor, Charles Soludo, said so to him.
Wait until Tinubu announces his cabinet and government. You will see prominent Obidients, including social media influencers that were fifth columnists in their movement, having influential posts under Tinubu. And only then will you guys know that you were used and dumped like a sanitary pad that has done its job.
Oya, insult me.
