The newly deployed DPO, CSP Oboware Izon Ebi Paul has undertaken a familiarization visit to Ughoton community in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.

CSP Oboware was received by the Ughoton community leader, the Unu Amua; Aturhomremo Pupu, the spokesman, Smart T. Pupu (JP), Honorable Royal Cousin, Secretary General, Samson Cousin, Financial Secretary, Sunday Udoko, chiefs as well as elders of the community and the women leaders.
The community leaders through the spokesman, Smart T. Pupu (JP), congratulated the new DPO on his new posting and thanked him for taking time to pay visit to the community inspite of his busy schedule.
Comrade Smart Pupu, on behalf of Ughoton community, pledged mutually beneficial relationship with the DPO and his officers.

The spokesman disclosed that Ughoton, Ugbokodo and Jeddo maintain excellent cordial relationship which has earned the communities the slogan: “The Most Peaceful Communities in Delta State”.

He however noted that there have been, in recent period, some ugly developments due to influx of some elements as a result of development and expansion in the community.

Top on the chart with regards to the ugly trends, according to the spokesman, are; robbery, rampant cases of burglary, cultism and other forms of criminalities.
“We, as a community have been trying to protect every individuals in our community.
“But we are sure, with the help of your office, we would once again, achieve peace in our environment.
“Once more, congratulations on your new posting and we wish you more successful relationship the communities”, Smart Pupu added.

DPO Oboware Izon Ebi Paul (CSP), thanked the Ughoton community leaders, women, youths for the colourful welcome ceremony and promised to help in tackling the challenges presented to him. He further stated that cultism, robbery, burglary and host of other criminal activities would not be tolerated by the Police Division.
“I am here to serve, and I will serve with the Nigeria constitution as the guide in protecting lives and properties.
“Anyone caught in the acts of criminality will face the law.
“Myself and my colleagues are not difficult to reach. I trust the police force at the Ughoton station to help you curtail the crimes listed before me.
“But I’ll plead with you; help us to help you better. The police can not walk into Ughoton and start scavenging the entire community. Report incidents and its locations to us so that we can help you. Thank you”, CSP Oboware stated.
