A former presidential aspirant of APC, Adamu Garba has railed at Peter Obi, saying that the presidency would forever remain a dream to him for insulting the North.
He made the statement in response to Obi’s pledge to alleviate poverty starting from the North.
The LP candidate, Peter Obi had tweeted: “Beyond regaining our mandate, I am committed to lifting people out of poverty and I remain committed to transforming Nigeria starting from the North to every part of the nation.”
Garba tweeted in response: “We know you are insulting us, we the Northerners, Mr. @PeterObi and we are assuring you that as far as the Presidency of Nigeria is concerned, it shall remain in your illusionary dream forever.
“You’ll never come close to it. You bigoted, religious, ethnocentric merchant.
“You can go to Finland to contend with your new Biafra government in exile.”
Yeah Adamu Garba! The man who determines the leadership in Nigeria. I can’t apprehend how idiotic and myopic in his reasoning over realistic issues. Something must start from a place! What’s wrong if Peter Obi has said that he’ll remove poverty from the North? The insinuation of Adamu Garba is that Peter Obi should have commerced the poverty eradication from the South? He would’ve been among the Northern elites that would have shouted woefully of neglecting the North. Has Adamu Garba forgotten the presence of the almajiri and the rest destitutes roaming around everywhere especially in Northern and Southern Nigeria. Adamu Garba is mocking and pretending not to degrade his own people of the realistic.
