…he’ll learn from how he got this far
The former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Peter Fayose has stated that he will stand with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu now that he has been elected.
Recall that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos State and the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) won the 2023 presidential election by defeating three other major contenders: former Governor of Anambra State and standard flagbearer of Labour Party, Peter Obi; Ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and a former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party.
The presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and that of the Labour Party have however claimed that the presidential election results were manipulated in favour of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The duo have vowed to challenge the result of the election held on the 25th of February in court.
Reacting after the victory of the All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate, Peter Ayo Fayose, who is known for being blunt, stated on TVC News political programme that he will stand with the former Governor of Lagos State.
In his words; “I don’t put people down, Asiwaju [Tinubu] is already elected, I will stand with him, he is coming to regularize the North/South dichotomy. He himself will learn from how he got this far and give his best to Nigerians”
Ayo Fayose is one of the Integrity Group in the Peoples Democratic Party who are against the presidential ambition of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
