The Member representing Warri North state Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly , Hon. Fred Martins has commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the completion and inauguration of the age-long Ogheye floating market.
The lawmaker said the completion of the market would boost commerce and economic activities in the area given the strategic location of the market to neighbouring states of Ondo, Edo and Ogun states.
Martins spoke to journalists yesterday at the sidelines of the inauguration of the project at Ogheye-Dimigun in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State.
He stated that the entire Itsekiri nation was delighted at the final completion and inauguration of the project which would enhance trade and commerce for the people.
He described Governor Okowa who is Vice-Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a lover of the Itsekiri nation assuring that the people would reciprocate his kind gesture by voting massively for the PDP in the 2023 general elections.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Warri North state Constituency, I congratulate His Majesty Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri and people of the kingdom for completion and inauguration of the cherished Itsekiri asset, Ogheye Floating Market.
“I am also of immense gratitude to our dear Governor and great partner in the Itsekiri nation, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his commitment in ensuring the completion and inauguration of the Ogheye Floating Market at Ogheye-Dimigun.
“We are entirely grateful to our dear Governor for this great feat and we also thank the National Chairman of our great party Senator Iyorchia Ayu for finding time to inaugurate this all important project.
