Juliet OJo, an indigene of Edo State, residing in Ugbokodo community in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, has cried out for help after the father of their six weeks old baby abandoned his responsibilities to the mother and baby.
According to Juliet OJo, who spoke to our reporter, Timothy Ejoh; she has been dating Frank Uwede for a considerable period in Edo State before she moved to Delta State in 2019 to live with him.
She said she called Frank on phone in 2019 over her rent that was due, but he requested her to move to Delta State to stay with him in his sister’s house at Ugbokodo.
She said Frank promised to marry her as he needs someone to help him raise two kids he had with another lady.
Juliet further disclosed that she discussed the matter with her mother and sisters in Edo State before accepting the proposal. She however moved in in 2019 without getting officially married to Frank.

During the period of Covid-19 lockdown – a period of three months which I lived with him, I had a miscarriage after falling from the staircase of the house, she said.
When the lock-down came to an end, I told him to let me go back to Benin as I needed to get back to my trade in Edo State.
He pleaded me not to return to Benin and promised to set up a mini provision business for me which he did in one of the stores in his sister’s house. While here in Ugbokodo managing the little business he set up for me, I took in again, she further explained.
“After sometime the brother came to the house and was living with us.
“One day I noticed the kitchen tap was left running and had flooded the kitchen.
“Then I rushed to turn it off, and informed his brother of the incident.
“Surprisingly, the brother started insulting me. Immediately he came in; he joined the brother in abusing me and hit me with the bread he was holding. I fell while he was still abusing me – shouting that I must leave his house.
“The neighbours came and were pleading that he should take things easy but to no avail.
He chased out of the house, and now I have been compelled to move to the community’s secondary school with our six weeks old baby as we have nowhere else to stay.
“I summoned courage to call the elder sister, Augusta in Jakpa Road, Effurun who took me into her apartment for a while.
All efforts by his family members, including my mother and relatives to placate him fell on deaf ears.
Please I need help as I have been begging from neighbours and strangers here in Ugbokodo to take care of our little child.
