The Nigerian conjoined twins “Hassana and Hasina”arrived Thursday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia accompanied by their parents, ‘via air medical evacuation plane’.

Upon arrival, the twins were transferred to King Abdullah Specialist Children Hospital at the Ministry of National Guard for detailed medical examination prior to the surgical operation to separate the twins.

This is in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Advisor at the Royal Court, Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KS Relief), and head of the medical team, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their support of the Saudi program for separating the twins.

He stressed that the initiatives embody the Kingdom’s humanitarian efforts, which spread across the whole world.

Saudi Arabia has superior medical expertise and capabilities, which placed it at the fore of countries in the field of separating conjoined twins, Al-Rabeeah added.

The twins’ parents expressed joy and happiness with gratitude to King Salman for the life-changing offer and humanitarian assistance.
