A Calabar-based lawyer, Sunny Bassey, whose wife lost her life in a car crash in Calabar while chasing him and his alleged girlfriend is alive, it has been confirmed.
It was gathered from sources on Monday that contrary to grapevine that the man was dead; the Calabar-based lawyer is still alive.
A prominent lawyer in Calabar and a friend of Bassey confirmed that he is still alive. He said; “the information is false, Sunny is very much alive.”
Another close friend of Bassey, confirmed that he saw the man a few hours ago (afternoon of Monday) and that they also spoke on phone thereafter.
Reports had surfaced on Monday that the lawyer had died. The said reports alleged that the lawyer died after he was unable to recover from the shock of losing his wife.
