Shehu Sani, a former Senator representing Kaduna State has reacted to an allegation raised by a Facebook user regarding the Kano lady who was killed by her Chinese lover. The lady identified as Ummita was killed on Friday night at the Janbulo area of Kano Metropolis by a Chinese man identified as Mr Geng.
Several sources confirmed that Mr Geng and Ummita were lovers prior to the tragic incident. It was reported that Ummita dated Mr Geng for three years before she married another person and after the marriage crashed, Mr Geng wanted to marry her, but she rejected him.
Shehu Sani shared a post by a Facebook user who claimed that the Chinese man sponsored Ummita to a university in Uganda where she obtained her degree. He also bought the house in which her parents are living currently.
Reacting to what the man’s Facebook post, Shehu Sani stated that no matter what Mr Geng did for Ummita and her parents, there is no justification for killing her just because she rejected his marriage request.
Many people who commented on the post also supported Shehu Sani’s statement. They acquiesced that what Mr Geng spent on Ummita and her parents is not worth her life.
