Students of Esezi Secondary School Ughoton, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State are rejoicing over the kind gesture of indigenes of the town who donated desks and chairs to aide their academic activities.
It was gathered that the students have been groaning over lack of furniture in the school as various efforts to get the Delta State Ministry of Education to perform it’s statutory function fell on deaf ears.
A picture of some of the students sitting and receiving lectures in the school was shared by a member of the community, Mr Kenneth Eruwese which elicited commendation to the community.
Prior to the donation, the students were said to be receiving lectures while sitting on the floor of the school’s classrooms.
The community youths chairman, Saturday Ojogwa also expressed appreciation to the benefactors.
