Artisans and shop owners along the popular Ginuwa Road in Warri metropolis of Delta State have lamented the menace of flooding in the area.
The situation is said to have been inhibiting free movement of vehicles and personnel in the area.
According to a report, the road lacks effective drainage system thereby making it prone to flooding during downpour.
A hotelier in the locality, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said his once successful business is now in comatose as a result of lack of accessibility to the premises due to the flooded street.
“Most of my corporate customers take flight from the area on the excuse of inaccessibility,” he said.
Also, a trader on Ginuwa Road, Johnson Ogoigbe, said he is moving out of the area to a new shop by Warri City Stadium to get a new lease of business.
