The April 14, 2022 declaration of DSP Ovie Omo-Agege in his bid to govern Delta State has set a new record of crowd turnout, not only in Delta State, but in the entire South-South region of the country
The declaration witnessed participation of political juggernauts, party faithfuls and who is who in the state politics as well as stalwarts from other parts of Nigeria.
DSP Omo- Agege who is gunning for Government House, Asaba under the umbrella of All Progressive Congress (APC) reeled out an impressive manifesto on how to harnesses the resources of the state for benefit of the people.
DSP Ovie Omo Agege spoke about his achievements and revealed his thrust on raising educational standard in Delta State, adding that more institutions of higher learning will be established in all the geopolitical segments of the state.
At the ceremony, celebrities, including Gordons, Pheelz, Daddy Showkey and others put up scintillating performances to the adorations of the massive crowd.
Resulting from the DSP’s declaration, Deltans have thrown their support behind him and APC has been growing in quantum leaps the state.
At the declaration, Dr Itive Igbuzor assured Deltans of a new era of governance if Agege becomes the governor of the state.
Dr. Igbuzor who spoke with Realtime.ng correspondent at the event said: “For us, the declaration simbolically marks the end of 24byears of bad governance of the PDP in Delta State. More importantly, for many of us who have been in the struggle; today is a commutation of all our struggles since 1999 to enthrone good governance in Delta State. We will rescue the state from the cabal that has held it down and prevented it from developing.
“Senator Omo-Agege has come with a battle cry for us to band together to build a new Delta with a well-articulated programme that will give Delta State an edge on empowerment, employment, governance, development and enduring security”.
Dr Igbuzor assured of victory for Omo-Agege and APC; “Just go round the stadium, go round the arena, it is massive, from every local govt, people are still coming in aside … Ovie Omo Agege popularity in the state is second-to-none. You are a journalist, I challenge you to go round and talk to the citizens in the state and you’ll know that victory is sure”.
“Expectation is captured in the four pillars on the programmes of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege: Employment and Empowerment; Development – physical development, human capital development, social development, spiritual development and moral development; Good Governance; Enduring Security”.
Dr Itive Igbuzor also said, “when you see the programmes, you’ll know that they’re geared towards ensuring that Omo-Agege will team up with the federal government to see that the seaports within the state are 100% operational and that it’s a promise that you can take it to the bank”.
Also Speaking at the declaration, HRH. H.E. Prophetess REV DR Princes (Mrs) Patti- Praise Ngozi (OBIAGO-KING JESUS),
commended Ovie Omo-Agege on the successful declaration.
She also commended the Presidential declaration of Hon. Rotimi Ameachi on Saturday, April 9.
HRH Patti- Praise is the National Coordinator D36, and she is a key figure in GNL for Hon Rotimi Ameachi.
