President Muhammadu Buhari has on April 27, 2022 approved the bill establishing the Federal Polytechnic, Orogun, Delta State.
The bill was sponsored by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege representing Delta Central Senatorial District.
The Polytechnic will provide full and part-time courses of instruction and training in different fields of study with a view to producing middle and high level manpower.
Recall that the federal government recently approved three polytechnics in the country – the other two located at Kabo, Kano State and Umunnoechi, Abia State.
This is coming as ASUU is kicking against proliferation of higher institutions in Nigeria.
