Residents of Mosogar community in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State have been wrapped in fear over gas pipeline explosion along Warri-Benin expressway.
Details as to why the gas pipeline exploded are still sketchy at the time of this report, but a source said the explosion was caused by corroded pipeline.
As a result of the explosion, residents have deserted their homes for fear of a fire outbreak.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the explosion and apprehension in the community.
The Police Public Relations Officer affirmed that the gas pipeline exploded as a result of leakage.
“They said it is not vandalization [vandalism]. They said it’s pipeline leakage that caused it.”
