The people of Agbarho Kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State have been in celebration following the appointment of their monarch, HRH, Ajuwe, Samson Owhe Ogugu 1, the Osuivie of Agbarho Kingdom into the reconstituted Delta State Traditional Rulers Council.
Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, had on Tuesday, January 25, approved the reconstitution of the council with His Royal Majesty, Major-Gen Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), Orhue 1, The Orodje of Okpe Kingdom as Chairman.
The excitement apparently stems from what the people perceive as high recognition of the Agbarho stool in Delta State.
Recall that tension have been pervading the kingdom since December 2, 2018, when gunmen attempted to dethrone the monarch. He was reportedly chased him out from his palace.
The Otota of Agbarho Traditional Council of Chiefs, Chief Ochuko Sakpaide who spoke to NewsNet Nigeria said, the reconstituted Delta State Traditional Rulers Council puts to rest any controversy surrounding who is the rightful occupant of the throne of Agbarho Kingdom.
The Otota expressed deep thanks and appreciation to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the appointment, and added that the governor has continued to demonstrate his stance as a peace loving leader.
