The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Emmanuel Sideso, Abe 1 (JP) and the Olu of Warri Kingdom, Ogiame Atuwatse III have resolved to work in tandem towards progress of the two kingdoms.
The pledge was made today,
January 21, when the Olu of Warri Kingdom paid a visit to the Ovie of Uvwie in his palace at GRA, Effurun.
The Ovie commended the Olu for the visit, and noted that it is the second time the Olu of Warri visited the Uvwie Palace since the history of the kingdom.
The Ovie noted that as monarchs, it is important that they listen and work in synergy with their subjects; just as he asked the people to listen, respect and support their monarchs.
He further enjoined the Olu to carry everyone along as he is the father of all his subjects; including those that did not support his enthronement as the Olu of Warri Kingdom.
The Uvwie monarch added that the visit would further consolidate the relationship between the kingdoms.
He appealed for synergy in urging the Federal Representatives of the kingdoms in the red and green chambers to prevail on the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) to reinstate retrenched contract staff of the company before embarking on new employment.
The Olu expressed appreciation to the Ovie for the warm reception accorded him and thanked God for making Warri and Uvwie kingdoms neighbours. He stressed that the best time for both kingdoms has just begun.
The Olu stated that he has forgiven everyone that offended him before his coronation, and that his palace is open to those who want genuine reconciliation.
