
Following the fire outbreak yesterday, involving a petroleum tanker at Ubeji in Warri South Council Area, Chairman of the Council, Dr Michael Tidi, has disbanded all illegal road blocks mounted by youth bodies along Ubeji, Ifie and other access roads in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
This is contained in a press statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Francis Sadhere.
According to the statement, the Nigeria Police and other security agencies have been directed to arrest and prosecute offenders.
The statement reads; “The Hon. Chairman, Warri South LGA, after due consultation with the Elders council and leaders of the affected communities, has directed that all illegal road blocks mounted by youth bodies along Ubeji, Ifie and other access Roads in Warri South LGA are hereby disbanded. Effective 18/12/21.
“The Nigeria Police and other security agencies have been directed to arrest and prosecute offenders.
“The general public and especially residents of Ubeji and environs are advised to adhere strictly to the above order.”
