A student of Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, in Delta State, has drowned as a boat he was travelling by capsized in Warri River.
Another passenger of the ill-fated boat, who was said to be a caterer at the university also drowned in the incident.
It was gathered that the commercial boat which capsized on Friday, 1st October was travelling from the university town, Okerenkoko to Warri when the accident happened. Other passengers reportedly survived.
One of the victims disclosed that some of the passengers were not wearing life jacket.
