A former military Administrator of Kano and Benue states, Brigadier-General Dominic Obukadata Oneya has died at the age of 73.
Family sources confirmed that he died on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Effurun, Delta State, during a brief illness as he was said to have visited Abuja, hale and hearty last week.
Gen. Oneya hailed from Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state, was a one-time President of Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Military Administrator of Kano State from August, 1996 to August, 1998 under Gen. Sanni Abacha and Benue State from August 1998 to May, 1999 under Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar.
