…recover arms, ammunition

A patrol team of Delta State Police Command has arrested a 29-year-old man, Efe Felix, who is suspected to be an arms dealer.

He was arrested in Ozoro, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Two locally fabricated cut-to-size guns, and twelve live cartridges were recovered from him.

The other members of his gang (two) reportedly fled into the bush.

The arms and ammunition were discovered in the battery compartment of a tricycle in which the gang was operating with.

Delta State Police Commissioner (CP) Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the incident in a statement signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe.

The PPRO noted that luck ran out of one of the suspects who escaped into the bush – Ibrahim Salihu (28), as he was later arrested by Mercyland Church, Effurun while trying to escape Delta State.

He confessed being a member of the gang.

Both criminals are currently cooling their heels in police custody, while hunt for the other member is ongoing.
