- Says, culture is dynamic and shouldn’t be static
Former Presidential spokesperson, Reno Omokri has advised Nigerians to shun expensive burial ceremonies, adding that culture being dynamic; people should therefore change from lavish to modest burial rites.
Omokri in a video shared on Instagram, recounted how former King of Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah was buried in an unmarked grave even though he was one of the wealthiest men in the world at the time of his death.
The former presidential spokesperson, also expressed his admiration for Islamic burial rites, stating that the religious belief of humans being equal at birth and in death should be emulated.
He clarified that he did not air his view out of jealousy from the foregoing in Nigeria a few days ago; but from love of humanity.
