▪︎Barricade PTI road
Students of Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) Effurun, Delta State are protesting the death of their colleague, a final year female student who was Friday night crushed to death by a tipper.
Realtime.ng gathered that the tipper was driving on the wrong way – generally referred to as driving against traffic, and without headlights when it crushed the student.
It was also gathered that the driver after crushing the female student, escaped the area and took refuge at a military checkpoint.
The students who barricaded the ever busy PTI Road, are demanding immediate arraignment of the driver for driving on the wrong side and without headlights in the night.
The tipper has been driven into the school compound, while security agents have locked the school gate.
