Delta State Police Command has arrested a notorious cult member allegedly connected with the attack on Nsukwa Police Station, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The attack led to death of three police officers and burning down of the station.
The incident which occurred in the early hours (00:46 hours) of May 15, rattled the agrarian Nsukwa and the adjoining communities.
A source in the community who craved anonymity said the attack was cult-related.
The source further revealed that the community carried out a high profile investigation and in the process, their security dragnet caught a notorious cult member said to be connected with the attack. He was arrested and whisked to the state police headquarters at Asaba for interrogation.
While search for other members of the gang is ongoing, peace have reportedly returned to the community.
