Gunmen on Tuesday, April 20 shot dead a boy, abducted one Mr. Tunde Akeda and another man simply identified as ‘Pastor’ at Omadino, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to the wife of Mr. Akeda, Princess who witnessed the abduction; “5 gunmen came in a speedboat, walked into my husband’s office and whisked him away”.
She also said that during the abduction, she heard gun shots as she walked towards her husband’s office where she found the kidnappers holding her husband to the ground.
“I pleaded that they should not harm my husband. They didn’t listen to me but instead, took another man, called ‘Pastor’ alongside my husband”.
According to her, the boy that was shot by the kidnappers, saw the kidnappers carrying her husband away and tried to alert the neighbourhood by shouting “Ole ole ole”. This apparently infuriated the kidnappers and one of them shot the boy in the head.
The boy reportedly gave up the ghost as he was being rushed to hospital.
At the time of filing this report, the police was yet to make comment on the incident.
