…without family knowledge

A man has called for justice after his son simply identified as Shedrack donated their family house as a ‘seed’ to Christ Embassy in Warri, Delta state.

The abroad-based man, Shedrack is said to have returned to Nigeria last year and became “serious” with religion to the delight of his family.

He reportedly ‘sowed’ his car as a seed to the Church last year without complaint by his family; but to their bewilderment, he donated his family house which he did not build alone to the church. This, the family say is a charity gone too far and has vowed to reclaim the house from the church.

His family members were not aware that their home had been donated until Shedrack’s father noticed men inspecting the property.

When his father enquired from the men; he was told that the property now belongs to Christ Embassy and has been valued to be sold at 25 million naira.

It was gathered that Shedrack’s father and cousins live in the house with four tenants, and that it was built with money contributed by the family members, although Shedrack contributed more.

Shedrack’s father said he has written to the senior pastor of Christ Embassy in Warri and he promised to take action, but for a month or so, not a word from him.

It was also learnt that Shedrack’s father has reported the matter to the police and has also appealed to the General Overseer of Christ Embassy, Chris Oyakhilome to intervene.
