
Terrorists operating in Niger State have released a video and pictures of 21 hostages abducted from Government Science College, Kagara in Rafi Local Government Area of the state.
The video shared by Ahmad Salkida on Twitter showed the terrorists, carrying Rocket-Propelled Grenades (RPG), threatening the captives and the government.
It was not clear whether the hostages were the same 27 victims abducted few days ago from a bus belonging to the Niger State Transport Authority (NSTA) on Minna-Zungeru Road.
The state government, in a statement said, ten of the passengers had been freed without payment of ransom.
In another attack early on Wednesday morning at Kagara College, at least one student was feared killed, and others abducted.
Some teachers and their family members residing in the staff quarters of the college were also said to have been abducted by the gunmen.

Channels TV, quoting a government source, reported that the attackers, dressed in the school uniform, stormed the college in Kagara at about 2:00 a.m., shooting sporadically.
It is not clear yet how many students and other people were abducted in the raid.
The state governor, Abubakar Bello, who was busy with APC registration and revalidation exercise, condemned the abductions and promised to secure the release of the abductees.
