Killings by suspected cultists took a dangerous turn in Delta State Wednesday, February 3 when  a  youth who allegedly belonged to a rival cult group was shot to death at close range on his bed in Ugbori community, Warri, Delta State at about 2:30pm. 

The deceased, Ekpo Kperegbeyi is alleged to be a  cultist whose boss was killed two weeks ago at the Merogun axis of Warri. 

Sources further revealed that late Ekpo was advised to leave Warri and its environs for his safety, but he refused until he met his death.

It was also gathered that Ekpo’s group executed a revenge mission at Ubeji community where four youths were killed last week. 

Eyewitness account said the assailants of Mr. Ekpo came in an ash colour Toyota Camry (Spider) car and zoomed off after carrying out their mission.

Meanwhile, Police officers from “A” Division Headquarters, Warri arrived the scene and took away the corpse at 3:10pm with the assistance of Chief Mike Odeli, the Olorogun of Warri Kingdom.
