The majority leader of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Tim Owhefere is dead.

Owhefere, a four-time member of the state House of Assembly, passed away on Wednesday at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, where he had been undergoing treatment.

Until his death, the deceased represented Isoko North Constituency.
He was hospitalised for about two weeks before he he passed away on Wednesday.

Several sources in the House confirmed his death this morning (Thursday).

Owhefere was said to have been on oxygen for a week before his death – fueling speculations that he died of COVID-19.

His death has thrown the Isoko Nation into mourning, and has spread apprehension among the assembly members for fear of contracting the virus as a result of various contacts with the deceased.
