Nigeria’s ex- international, Christian Obodo has been kidnapped by gunmen along Refinery Road, Effurun, near Warri in Delta State.
Our sister online news outlet, NewsNet reports that one of his brothers confirmed the incident. He said that the former Super Eagles player was abducted on Sunday evening while in a friend’s car.
At the time of filing this report, the Delta State Police Command was still gathering information about the incident.
This is the second time the former Udinese midfielder, Christian Obodo is being kidnapped.
He was kidnapped in June, 2012 on a Saturday morning while on his way to church at Effurun; and was rescued on Sunday night at an Isoko community, less than fifty kilometres away.
