The Ilaje Youth Congress (IYC) Executives is constrained to react to the rumour being peddled by some gullible Ilaje youths who have been brainwashed, and are being used as a tool of disunity to spread the rumour that Ilaje Youth Congress does not recognize any Ilaje in Warri as a leader.
On behalf of Ilaje Youth Congress, I wish to make it emphatically clear that IYC as a matter of policy recognises sons and daughters of Ilaje who have distinguished themselves in their various professions as leaders.
The Ilaje Youth Congress has elite personalities like: Otunba Sam Obazuaye, Barr. Taiye Orisabinone, Chief Olusola Oke, Chief Eko I. Okolo, Chief Emami Ayiri (the Ologbotsere of Warri kingdom), Barr Samuel Ebiwanno, Barr I.R. Ireyefoju as leaders, as well as every King (Royal Fathers) of Ilaje land.
We therefore appeal to all leaders, sons and daughters of Ilaje land, both home and in the diaspora to disregard the rumor as it is the handiwork of mischief makers with the intent of creating disunity between the Ilaje Youth Congress and the leaders – thereby causing a clog to the wheel of development of Ilaje land.
IYC is committed to working with all the leaders of Ilaje land to bring about the desired development that we all crave for.
