A yet to be identified 13-year-old boy who allegedly took part in #EndSARS protest has died from injuries he sustained after he fell from a moving truck believed to be heading outside Sapele in Delta State.
The teenager was said to have joined the thousands of protesting youths that stormed the roads in Sapele to demand the end of the reign of terror unleashed on the people by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
Our reporter gathered that the boy jumped on a moving truck that was heading outside town, but fell and died before sympathisers could rush him to hospital.
The corpse of the teenager has been wrapped with the Nigerian flag, placed on open display at the back of the truck at Amukpe area of Sapele, causing heavy traffic.
Meanwhile, thousands of #EndSARS protesters who stormed the Sapele end of the Warri–Benin Highway, causing traffic jam on the road, have vowed not to back down.
The #EndSARS protesters, mostly youths from Sapele and its environs have for the second time in four days, taken over the highway as early as 9am; while another group marched through the town singing solidarity songs and disrupting activities.
Apart from full disbanding of SARS/SWAT, the protesters are also demanding the quick fixing of the Benin/Sapele section of the road which has now become a nightmare for motorists.
