
A young Nigerian graduate, Alexander Nwogu, 23 who graduated with honour at Virginia Tech, has been killed. He was shot dead by unknown gunmen on Monday, October, 5 in a filling station at upper NW DC.
Nwogu graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and the state university, Virginia Tech, five months ago.
According to Bruce Lesha, an American reporter who made the news known on Twitter, the Nigerian just got a job at Ernst and Young.
The DC Police have given details of the likely suspect and have also announced a $25,000 (N9,575,000) reward, asking people to come forward and provide details that could help in locating the murderers.
Nwogu’s friend, Will Ventura, who described him as “hardworking and caring” person, has created a GoFundme account with a $15,000 (N5,745,000) mark to cater for his funeral expenses. Already, $10,246 (N3,924,218) has been realised.
