The Branch Manager of Zenith Bank by Urhobo College, Effurun has been reportedly abducted by gunmen in the early hours of today (Monday).
The gunmen allegedly attacked the bank manager on his way to office. They were said to have shot sporadically at the scene, before whisking him away.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya in a telephone chat confirmed the report. She said the Police are doing their best to get the victim released unhurt, and with a view to arresting anyone connected with the crime.
The PPRO declined to disclose the name of the victim, citing security reasons.
