Fears of reprisal attacks are rife in the Hausa Quarters area of Igbudu Market, Warri as hoodlums reportedly stabbed the Chief Priest of Igbudu Community, Mr. Victor to death for allegedly impregnating and abandoning an Hausa lady.
The deceased had attended a carnival at Digbori Street, off Hausa quarters when the hoodlums who are believed to be Hausas allegedly stabbed him to death.
It was learnt that Igbudu Community youths are angry over the death of the deceased who was said to be a grandson of the late Alawuru. There are fears that the youths may avenge the death of the chief priest.
When contacted for comments, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome confirmed the incident. She said “yes, it is true, somebody (a man) was killed.”
