The Governor of Bayelsa State, Sen. Due Diri in a meeting with PDP leaders of Bayelsa central Senatorial district, unveiled the winner of the PDP Primaries for Bayelsa central, Pastor Moses Cleopass as the party’s flag bearer for the October Bye-Election.
“Let me unveil the party’s senatorial candidate in the central, the most distinguished in waiting, he has superintended over various elections successfully as party chairman, and served the party faithfully, so we are resolute that this young man will serve meritoriously in the Red Chambers.
” And as the leader of the party in the state, let me unveil to you, your candidate, the party’s candidate, Mr. Moses Cleopas” – Gov. Douye Diri stated.
The Governor further announced a very experienced grass roots politician, Hon. Sir. Diekivie Okilovie Obohoo as Director-General of the PDP Bayelsa Central Senatorial Campaign Structure.
Other members are: SSG, Konbowei Benson as Deputy DG/Administration, Hon. Ebiye Tarabina, Deputy DG, Operations, Hon. Monday Bubou Obolo, Director of Mobilisation, Barr. Eunice Alene, Director of Women Mobilisation and Mr. Ayiba Duba, Director of Publicity/Arena.
The Governor also assured members of the party that by next week, special advisers would be appointed into his Government.
“I had thought that by this week, we would announce our Special Advisers in order to bring more people into governance, and also fill in some vacant boards and parastatals. But unfortunately, for some unavoidable reasons, we have not been able to do that this week, but hopefully by next week, I am sure we will be through with everything that we are doing and bring in more of our people into governance”, he stated.
